Anyone who’s been watching my homepage the past few weeks have noticed that huge swaths of articles are being “modified” with little if any explanation. Here’s what happened:
-
A role-playing game creator asked me to preface my rules for his game with a copyright notice, as required by Creative Commons.
-
A second RPG creator, when asked, also suggested I make sure I give credit where credit is due.
-
I recently ran a link checker over my website and found not only broken internal links but links to deleted pages.
-
A while ago I created a macro in my preferred editor (yes, NeoVim) so that any time I edited a page, it would update the Markdown source’s “lastmod” date. Not every page has a “lastmod” date, but those that do update automatically.
Usually I leave a note to say when something has changed and what, but I’ve been a little busy with these little changes – and the rest of my life – to leave proper notes.
Consider this my note.
P.S. Some of the old articles dredged up are a little embarassing …
