Deva

Free-spirited divine beings tending to mortals in their own way.

A female Deva is called a Devi.

Deva, Lesser

A blue-skinned humanoid with silver wings growing from the small of their back.

AC 15 (leather armor and shield), HP 25, ATK 1 spear +3 (1d6, magic) or 1 transform, MV near or near × 2 (fly), S +2, D +2, C +2, I +3, W +3, Ch +4, AL L, LV 5

Danger Sense. Cannot be surprised.

Deva Penance. On a spellcasting Critical Failure, the Deva loses all non-automatic abilities until they complete a rest.

Beast Form. Transforms into a Lamassu or Kirin (see below).

Human Form. Assumes human guise. Same abilities except cannot fly.

Holy Weapon. All attacks count as magical. While a Deva touches a weapon, it becomes a +0 magic weapon.

Speak in Tongues. Understands and speaks every language.

Prestidigitation (DC 12 CHA). Conjures small objects to amuse children. Also conjures small amounts of money (<2d6 sp), official documents, and other conveniences for traveling in a new land. Creations evaporate after a day, or sooner if neglected.

Shield Against Evil (DC 12 CHA). All Chaotic beings have Disadvantage on attacks and hostile spells against the Deva and those within close of then. Attackers cannot beguile, compel, or possess them; already possessed creatures have Advantage on a CHA check to break the caster’s original check.

Emergency Plane Shift (DC 15 CHA). Returns the Deva to their home plane.

Deva, Greater

An imposing blue-skinned humanoid with silver wings growing from the small of his back.

AC 14 (chainmail armor and shield), HP 48, ATK 1 longsword +5 (1d8, magic) or 1 transform, MV near or near × 2 (fly), S +3, D +3, C +3, I +4, W +4, Ch +5, AL L, LV 10

Deva. Has all powers of a Lesser Deva, unless superseded.

Build (DC 15 CHA). Turns a tree-sized mound of raw materials into a finished product, like a bridge. Product is permanent.

Heal (DC 15 CHA). Can restore all HP to a wounded creature, or remove one curse or condition.

Plane Shift (DC 15 CHA). Opens a portal to any other world or corporeal plane for the Deva and any willing passenger at close range.

Deva, Supreme

An ancient and luminous blue-skinned humanoid with silver wings growing from the small of his back.

AC 18 (mithral plate +3), HP 77, ATK 1 mithral greatsword +10 (1d10, magic) or 1 transform, MV near or near × 3 (fly), S +5, D +5, C +5, I +5, W +5, Ch +7, AL L, LV 16

Deva. Has all powers of a Greater Deva, unless superseded.

Farsight. Can see any distance. All abilities with “far” have indefinite range assuming no obstructions.

Telekinesis I (DC 12 CHA). Move any object of up to two Gear Slots at far range up to near × 3 speed as if it were in the Deva’s hands. Requires Focus.

Telekinesis II (DC 15 CHA). Levitate any object of up to 1000 lbs at far range up to near speed, or hold it in place. Requires Focus.

Telekinesis III (DC 18 CHA). Levitate any object of any size at far range up to close speed, or hold it in place. Requires Focus.

Wish (DC 15 CHA). See Wish on p. 73 or Shadowdark. Using this power does trigger a Magical Mishap on a failure.

Deva Alternate Forms

Lamassu

A creature with a human head, eagle wings, and a lion’s body.

AC {AC}, HP as Deva, ATK 2 rend +6 (1d8) or 1 transform, MV near or near × 3 (fly), S +6, D +3, C +3.

Deva Abilities. Except as noted above, same abilities as the Deva.

Kirin

A deer-like creature with a single horn that gallops across the air.

AC {AC}, HP as Deva, ATK 1 horn +6 (1d10) or 1 transform, MV near × 2 (run/fly), S +4, D +4, C +4.

Deva Abilities. Except as noted above, same abilities as the Deva.

Hovering. Kirin ignore all terrain effects.
